Sliding Windows
A sliding window opens horizontally. One or more sashes glide along a track, so there’s nothing to crank and nothing that swings out into a walkway or patio.
Sliders work well in wide, short openings, over counters, in bedrooms and in basements. When sized correctly, they can help meet egress requirements. We check local code for every bedroom and basement opening.
We install sliding windows in Alside Mezzo (dual sliding) and Fairfield 80 (2- and 3-lite).

2-lite sliders have two panels. 3-lite sliders have a fixed center with operable ends, which works well for very wide openings. Fairfield 80 offers both.
It can if it’s sized to meet local code. We check egress requirements for every bedroom and basement window we replace.
Insert (pocket) replacement sets a new window into your existing frame when that frame is solid. Full-frame replacement removes the old window down to the framing, so we can fix rot and seal air leaks. We recommend one after we inspect your openings.
